DIY Master Volume / Attenuator Pedal inspired by JHS Little Black Amp Box

Описание к видео DIY Master Volume / Attenuator Pedal inspired by JHS Little Black Amp Box

In order to 'tame' the PRS MT15 amplifier, Lukas was checking out the JHS Little Black Amp Box, which works like a master volume/attenuator in the amp's effects loop. Since the circuit of the pedal is very simple, he decided to build it himself. Most of the parts (enclosure, jacks, pot) are from Musikding (https://www.musikding.de/Startseite_1); compared to the original circuit, a footswitch was added.

The total costs of building this pedal (excl. tools & shipping costs) were about € 16. The PRS Lampshade knob adds another € 12.50 on top.

!! UPDATE: As we've got the question on how to do this with an LED indicator a couple of times now, we've uploaded a dedicated video about it:    • LED in a DIY Little Black Amp Box Att...

CAUTION: The pedal cannot take a load and is therefore only for amps with an FX loop (ie after the preamp section of the amp) - never use it between the power amp and the speaker. Thus, describing it as a "FX loop attenuator" or "attenuator" in general is a bit misleading.
