Agni Prime: India Successfully Tests the Nuclear-Capable Agni Prime Ballistic Missile

India successfully test-fired 'Agni Prime', a new generation of ballistic missiles, from off the coast of Odisha. It is indigenously developed. This is a big step in India's endeavour to have its defence sector be self-reliant. The nuclear-capable missile has been designed and developed by DRDO. Defence officials said all test objectives were met. The third consecutive test of the 'Agni Prime' had established the accuracy and reliability of the system.
