Uniacke Estate

Today i explore the Palatial estate of Richard John Uniacke, built in 1815 and kept in the family as a summer house till 1945 when it was donated to be used as a museum.
a modern man, he had the home fitted with wood stoves instead of the grander, more traditional fire places, and when not having TWELVE kids he kept record of changes in local law in a book used by the province for quite some time.
the staff here were incredibly friendly and after i finished shooting the video i ended up having an hour long conversation about history with the guide. an absolute must see if you are a fan of historical homes
