Woodturning - A Tree that Swallowed a Fish

Описание к видео Woodturning - A Tree that Swallowed a Fish

Woodturning segmented herringbone in an ash log. The herringbone is around 4,000 pieces of veneer cut into 16 wedges to give patterned plywood.

This project is greatly challenging to ensure the pattern is continuous around the final piece after woodturning.

Is this the first segmented herringbone woodturning project? Maybe James Garwood's segmented pens count? Okay, some will point out it is more like a chevron pattern. Regardless, I hope you enjoy this video.

Edge grained patterned plywood has a growing community, but often start from existing plywood. Herein I start from sheets of veneer through to the final wedges for wood turning.
