The encounter took place in Kirat Nagar near Bhojpuri while being transported from Gandhinagar. The police vehicle's tyre was punctured near Kirat Nagar. The accused attempted to escape. While fleeing, the accused fired at police with a police gun. During the counter-fire, the police shot the accused in the leg. The accused is undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Bhopal.
