Claus F Nielsen was the driving force behind the launch of a national political discussion about future Ambient Assisted Living services in Denmark, and thereafter he functioned as the chairman of the AAL Forum (http://www.aalforum.eu/) 2010 that attracted more than 2 500 people and 800 delegates from 33 countries.

Today he is responsible for health and care technologies and international relations at DELTA (http://www.delta.dk/) – a Danish research and tech organisation. He has run a great number of health care projects in the public sector and also works as a special adviser for the Danish government.

Also, he is an expert on telemedicine, which basically means using telecommunication and information technologies in order to provide care at a distance. And Claus delivered an inspirational and emotional talk with telemedicine as its starting point.
