Election campaign in Germany: Three main parties publish their manifestos

Germany's three main political parties have laid out their policies ahead of parliamentary elections in February. Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be seeking a second term after the collapse of his coalition government. He's trailing center-right challenger Friedrich Merz, whose Union bloc is leading in the polls.
