On June 13, 2023, police responded to a vacant property where a squatter refused to leave. Body cam footage showed officers allowing a woman time to gather belongings after claiming she had permission to stay. Upon verifying her identity, they discovered active warrants for child support.

The situation escalated as she resisted arrest, leading to a physical altercation. She was eventually charged with providing false identity, obstruction, and resisting arrest. Officers secured her belongings and reminded her she had no right to remain on the property.
