Most the time we burn befor we cut,(slabs) but I was rock facing and we have a new cutter so they just had me do it like this... there's not a different realy but it helps when sorting to go on pals, however for me it don't matter I do both just as fast and I can read rock well so if I need to flip it or throw it on a cut back pal I can even out the time game... I'm picky and don't put stuff on pals that I wouldn't want myself in my house for the type it is... size, color, finish...

Been to just about all the docks out there and wail the set up varies from place to place... it's all in the guys/ persons you have burning when it comes to how nice it comes out, the speed and how safe it's done... but no matter how or who you will always get a burn or two during a day of burning... even in full gear, hoodie up, mask, goggles, gloves and so on... it always will get you a little lol.

But there's a reason only pros do it well... some guys can't take the pace needed, the heat, the burns, forking, and so on... then you have to do it well without over burning...

Slabs, treds, block ends, Pat, set for rock face, and custom stuff and sizes that fill order forms...

You need to be a A player to work in the docks... but again we train general's at johnstons and rhodes... every person that walks outta that place has skills coming outta everywere... we're the A team.
