It's easy to say how dangerous social media can be. But it's another thing to watch this documentary.

So I know some of these documentaries I'm reviewing aren't technically movies, yet I'm including them in my series of 100 movies of 2025.

That's because I'm categorizing movies as anything you can watch from beginning to end in one or two nights.

Like the Jerry Springer documentary was two episodes, sure, but I finished it at about the same length of time it would take me to watch a long movie.

Anyway, Trainwreck is a series of documentaries on Netflix, and I've found some similarities in them.

But The Real Project X is about how one invite to a party got passed around to one too many people - all over a Dutch province with just 18,000 residents.

It's just the weirdest thing... I'd never decide to drive hundreds of miles to a party, especially if it was through a Facebook invite of all things.

I got a Facebook invite to come sit in on a town hall meeting to vote on a No Parking Zone next to an abandoned Wal-Mart.

I just don't got time for none of that.

But somehow 3,000 people made time to show up to this one girl's house to put on a Project X-style party.

Like, I could feel this young woman's horror as her inbox is blowing up with RSVPS and questions about this party that was never going to happen.

The tension builds pretty high in this doc, but the outcome isn't as crazy as you're led to expect it to be.

Because of that, this is the first documentary I've reviewed this year that I really didn't care too much about.

It's fine, I guess, but it's really mid, and even though I haven't seen it, I'd rather watch Project X, the movie this party was supposed to be based on.
