Actor Shivaji recently spoke at a film function criticizing the way some film heroines attend public events wearing objectionable outfits. While expressing his opinion, he used two words that were inappropriate, which became a topic of controversy. However, he later issued a public apology through the media for those words.
Despite this, anchor and actress Anasuya, singer Chinmayi, and others responded strongly, interpreting his comments as being directed at all women rather than a few individuals. Videos criticizing him were released, and complaints were reportedly filed with the National Commission for Women.
