Painting Tank Tracks on an Assembled Model is Fine, BUT....

Sometimes you just need to attach the tracks to your tank model before you're able to paint them. Sure, someone might prefer this approach, but it's always better to paint them separately from your model, as you'll be able to reach all those hard to reach parts and overall have more fun with their weathering. Painting them on the model is okay, but your options might get quite limited.
