Leading Republican politician Mike Gallagher has revealed the ‘truth’ behind the passing of the TikTok ban bill through Congress, stating that Israel played a role in revitalising the legislation.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Gallagher explained that following the October 7th Hamas-led attacks, the bill gained new momentum and "had legs again."

The initial concerns about TikTok in the US were rooted in national security fears over the platform’s alleged ties to China.
