Mga Nakabuhing Agi-Agi, (Found Objects, Freed Stories) weaves the connections of the town’s historical and folk accounts and that of the Agta communities who survived in 2018 after a massive landslide occurred in the area due to a typhoon.

In these forest debris, they gathered with their parish priest in the actual sites of the landslide, the indigenous artists sculpted their stories of struggles, faith, and hope. They relieve the narratives of tender love and devotion, their memory of vanished life-forms that used to populate their mountains and lakes, their aspirations for healing a bruised landscape.

Mga Nakabuhing Agi-Agi is set in the town of Buhi, a town characterized by its ancient volcanoes and lakes. Buhi is said to have been derived from Nakabuhi, people who were able to escape from the fatal volcanic eruption that of Mayon volcano. The other volcano closer to it and whose narrative of eruptions is deeply intertwined with the lake, is Mount Asog, or Iriga.
