In today's video we discuss the possibility of the Miami Dolphins trading up to select Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft. Robinson is one of the most talented running backs from last year's college football season and is a projected first-round pick. The Dolphins have a need at the position and could benefit from his skills, but they'll need to make a move to secure him.

There was a point in time where the Miami Dolphins had two first-round picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. However, after the league stripped away one of them due to tampering allegations, and the team traded the other away to the Denver Broncos last season at the trade deadline in exchange for Bradley Chubb, the Dolphins are left with their first pick in the draft coming in the second round at No. 51 overall.

If there’s one player in the 2023 NFL Draft that the Miami Dolphins may be intrigued enough with to attempt to trade into the first round for it’s Texas running back Bijan Robinson. Robinson is a do-it-all player that is billed as the cleanest and most complete running back prospect to enter the draft since Saquon Barkley.

Once free agency opened up earlier this offseason the Miami Dolphins brought back their top-four RB’s from the 2022 NFL season - Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson, Salvon Ahmed and Myles Gaskin - but rumors have been swirling around the Dolphins and the running back position for a couple of weeks now. There are numerous reports connecting the Dolphins to Vikings running back Dalvin Cook, however, general manager Chris Grier also made headlines during his media availability last week by saying that multiple teams in the back half of the first round have reached out to the Dolphins to gauge their interest in potentially trading up on draft day.

Additionally, we have it on good account that the Miami Dolphins have made some calls of their own regarding the idea of trading into the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, notably to the Detroit Lions, who own the No. 18 overall selection in this year’s draft.
