Atticus Writing App: Is it Worth the Money?

Although the app itself is sound, I'm just not totally convinced it's worth the $147 price tag, especially when there are cheaper and free alternatives to write your book.

However, Atticus does have one of the best preview and formatting tools I've seen in a writing app. So, it may very well be worth the price if you want full customization on the appearance of your eBook or the printed copies.

Unfortunately, Atticus currently doesn't have a free version or a free trial. It only has a 30-day money-back guarantee. That means you'll need the money for the writing app up front.

Nonetheless, it is a solid tool for self-publishing authors and works quite well for how much you'll pay for the app.

As I point out in the video, Atticus is a browser-based app that will use extensions you have installed in your web browser. Personally, I use Chrome and take advantage of the Dark mode and Grammarly Chrome extensions while writing my book.
