Minolta Levels UP the Intelligence with the "i" Series

Today we'll be looking at these two 2nd Generation AF cameras from Minolta. Even after the success of the original Minolta 7000, the camera maker still had a few tricks up its sleeve. The 7000i was released in 1988 and boasted the new-at-the-time Predictive Autofocus, as well as a slightly gimmicky feature called Creative Expansion Cards. But one of them proves to be no gimmick, IMO. The higher-spec'd 8000i, released in 1990, had everything the 7000i had while adding some additional pro-level features.Check out the episode for a deep dive into what made these cameras great.
