Gravity Bolus Feed Training Video

The purpose of this video is to show you how to gravity bolus feed using a feeding tube. Follow these nine steps when delivering your gravity bolus feed:

1. Wash your hands
2. Gather your equipment (1 x 60ml syringe, a jug of fresh tap water, a bottle of feed and napkins or a towel)
3. Remove the plunger from the syringe
4. Unscrew the cap on the feeding tube and attach the syringe
5. Flush the feeding tube with water
6. Deliver a bolus of feed
7. Flush the feeding tube with water
8. Unscrew the syringe from the feeding tube
9. Wash your syringe and leave to air dry
