Seher is a narrative fiction short film written and directed by Manas Shashidharan Jacob that takes you on a journey with Rubina , a young girl from the underbelly of Mumbai who boards a taxi driven by Usmaan ,a pleasant old man with a warm demeanor . In the late hours of the night as the taxi cruises through streets of old Mumbai Usmaan comes face to face with certain vulnerabilities of Rubina and realizes that there is more than what meets the eye.What seemed like a normal cab ride in the chill of the night turns out to be a night with a plan in store for both.

Drawing inspiration from the famous Rumi quote “The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.Don’t go back to sleep” .Seher is an independent narrative fiction short film produced entirely by Traice Entertainment featuring Uday Chandra and Sudeepta Singh in the lead cast.The film was shot entirely on live location across South Mumbai Executive Producer Juhi Hegde and Production Manager Naidu Anand managed to put together a stellar a crew of around 40 people which included key grip Arjun Bhurji whose body of work includes Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds and Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire.The music of the film is composed by Arjun Nair of the Voctronica fame.The film has been shot by DOP Arnold Fernandes, an SRFTII alumnus who has several TVC’s and an award-winning documentary to his credit.
