House plants motivation, weekly caring, hydrangea, flowers, new jug, soil pH

Описание к видео House plants motivation, weekly caring, hydrangea, flowers, new jug, soil pH

My hydrangea's flower has changed from its purple bloom to green. I want to get the color back.
The pH of soil or the age of the bloom may cause it to fade(to green).
Follow me through the next videos to find out whch is causing this fade in my hydrangea.
I will test the pH of my soil using litmus paper.

For a blue/lavender blue bloom; pH below 6
For a purple/bluish pink bloom; pH between 6 and 7
For a pink to red bloom; pH above 7
Low pH means high acidity while, high pH means low acidity in the soil.
If after testing the pH is high, to lower it, I'll add Aluminum sulphate. Aluminum is what is responsible for the blue color in Hydrangea.
If after testing pH is low, to raise it, I'll add wood ash/limestone to the soil.
