On 17 August at 6:00, Russia shelled the city of Sumy. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a car park and many windows in nearby buildings were damaged, said the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko.

The search for victims at the site of the Russian strike continues. So far, we know about one person who has been helped. All relevant services are working at the site.

The police reported that the missile strike in Sumy damaged 10 cars, two apartment buildings, and a shopping centre. All relevant services are working at the scene. Police investigators have opened a criminal investigation under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ‘Violation of the laws and customs of war’.
