Dastak street play, attempts to create awareness and sensitize people on increasing incidences of atrocities against women. It raise voice against Eve teasing, domestic violence, acid attack and abuse. Dastak Street play ,started in 2010 by Asmita Theatre Group which revolutionised the Indian street theatre movement.
Dastak is Most popular and most performed Street Play of India, This play created history, it become the voice of Nirbhaya movement. Asmita Theatre actors participated in Nirbhaya protest. this play also supported anti Acid attack movement in Delhi. In last ten years Asmita Theatre performed more than ten thousand shows of Dastak Street play under the direction of Arvind Gaur. Asmita Theatre performed in colleges, schools, colonies, roads, nukkads, villages and almost all major cites of india.
