🍽️ Soft and Spongy Dahi vada Recipe | Summer Special 🌞
Welcome to my kitchen! I’m Bhavnaben Rathod, and today we’re making a delicious summer special: *Dahiwada*! This refreshing dish is perfect for hot days and is sure to impress your friends and family.

🥘 Ingredients:
1 cup Urad Dal (Black Gram)
1/4 cup Mung Bean (Mogar Dal)
2 Green Chilli
2 inch Ginger
3 tablespoons Homemade Curd
3 tablespoons Sugar (adjust to taste)
Cumin seeds
Asafoetida (Hing)
Fresh chopped coriander leaves
Oil for frying
Water (for soaking and mixing)
Jaggery and Tamarind for sweet and sour Chutney
Pomegranate and Dry fruits for garnishing


📝 Detailed Method:
1. Soak the Dals*: Soak *1 cup of urad dal and 1/4 cup of mung bean dal for *5 hours*.
2. *Grind the Dals*: Drain the water and grind the dals in a mixer jar in two batches, adding cold water to keep the mixture cool.
3. Beat the Batter*: Transfer the ground dal to a mixing bowl and beat it for *7-8 minutes until fluffy.
4. Prepare the Curd Mixture*: In a separate bowl, mix *3 tablespoons of curd with 3 tablespoons of sugar until smooth.
5. Combine*: Mix the curd mixture with the beaten dal batter. Adjust the consistency with *pouva (flattened rice) if needed.
6. *Fry the Vadas*: Heat oil and drop medium-sized vadas into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
7. *Soak the Vadas*: Soak the fried vadas in water mixed with cumin seeds, asafoetida, and coriander for *15-20 minutes*.
8. Serve*: Gently press the soaked vadas to remove excess water, then serve with *jaggery tamarind chutney and *green chutney*.
