Описание к видео What killer whales can teach us about menopause | Thea O'Connor | TEDxCanberra

Menopause is a natural body function (just like sneezing!), and yet it carries a lot of shame and stigma, especially in the workplace. In her talk, Thea O'Connor challenges the audience to shift the conversation around menopause in the workplace. Thea O’Connor is a senior advisor on workplace wellbeing and productivity, helping leaders, teams and individuals improve their workplace engagement and effectiveness through body intelligence and better health. She draws on over 25 year’s experience in health promotion including in the fields of nutrition (as a dietitian), body image, sleep science and workplace health. She has worked with a diverse range of organisations, helping them normalise conversations about menopause at work so that menopausal women feel safe to ask for support when they need it. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
