First time riding bitless went wrong. Nalanta bitless bridle review.

SPOILER...we crashed in to a tree.
I'd love to say the tree came out of nowhere, but i've heard a rumor that it was there all along. It does come off very much that I simply chucked a bitless bridle on with absolutely zero training. That's my bad for not explaining very well. We've ridden in a halter off and on for years, Trin is pretty adept at understanding cues coming from her halter. I however, wanted something that sat better for riding on her noggin than simply continuing in her halter and thus has begun our journey for a bitless option! I didn't do any ground work to introduce the Nalanta bridle specifically, but I thought it was a fair question to introduce it the way I did. I certainly could have done it better, but Trin isn't a complete blank slate when it comes to understanding bitless cues. Upon testing out the Nalanta bridle this week, I unfortunately found a few bits and pieces my horse was just not the biggest fan of. Of course, when I originally tried it my observations immediately went out the window in favor of focusing on the saddle fit issues we were having. Since then I have ridden in it without the saddle issues and while I like some parts, I think I'm still on the hunt for a different bitless bridle that perhaps has a different design and style. Trin is not a fan at all of the hackamore action, which will rule out this style of bridle in the future no matter how mild it is.
