Description
The Brauneck is a 1,555-meter-high mountain and Latschenkopf is a 1,710-meter-high mountain, part of the Bavarian Prealps. It is also called House Mountain of Lenggries.
From Brauneck bahn you can also get a cable car which will take you to the Panorama restaurant. (10
mins away from Brauneck summit.)
It's an Intermediate hike and recommended for beginners and experienced hikers. Beautiful 360 panorama view from the top.
From Munich, you can take a regional train towards Lenggries and get down at Lenggries. The hike starts from Lenggries.
Hike Sequence: 1. From Lenggries train station follow the directions towards Brauneck bahn.
2. After reaching at Brauneck bahn follow the direction towards brauneck gipfelhaus.
3. In between enjoy the Lenggries town view and walk till the Garland lake.
4. Garland is an artificial lake. After reaching their walk towards Panorama restaurant. Swimming is not allowed in the lake.
5. After reaching at panorama restaurant take a break or walk towards the breakneck summit.
Recommendation to enjoy food and view from Panorama restaurant.
6. After a beautiful 360-degree panorama from the summit walk towards the Latschenkopf. In between enjoy the paragliding.
7. Almost after 1 hour you can reach the Latschekopf. Enjoy the view from the top.
8. From the Latschenkopf summit walk back to the Panorama restaurant and enjoy Lunch and drink with a beautiful view.
