Silver Outshines Gold as Precious Metals Rally Strongly in 2025 | Commodity | Silver MCX | Gold

Precious metals have emerged as star performers in 2025, led by a stunning rally in silver. Silver crossed the $80 per ounce mark globally before cooling slightly, while still massively outperforming gold on a year-to-date basis. Gold has gained 70%, whereas silver has surged nearly 160% this year.

The rally is driven by geopolitical tensions, a weakening dollar index, strong central-bank buying, and favourable demand-supply dynamics. Other precious metals have also joined the rally, with platinum up 170% and palladium nearly doubling in 2025.
