I've been working on this for a long time, and as always I'm happy to share it with you. DKC is my favorite in terms of: games, music, composer, covers to do. Thanks to David Wise for writing his beautiful music - it has had such a great impact on my life and so many others.
Thanks DonutDrums for your help with finding these drum sounds!

And thank you for listening!

Musical references in this cover! -
The original song to my knowledge was inspired by “Theme from Antarctica” by Vangelis!
I sing a very short part from The Flower Duet by Léo Delibes. When I record, I don’t plan anything and do what comes to mind and this came up! I feel it works because - Yanni covered The Flower Duet (his version titled Aria), and I felt this ties in because I love contemporary instrumental music from artists such as Yanni, Checkfield (my favorite), and…Vangelis! I love it so much partly because it reminds me of vgm. David Wise’s music definitely has that style!

There are so many vocals in the choir parts of my covers that it can be a challenge to visually arrange them all. For example, sometimes when I sing a new part that is short (like the little Stickerbush easter egg at the end), that corresponding vocal video will fade in on top of a video of me singing one constant note. All of the vocal layers are still in the song, and I do this to visually showcase new/different vocal parts rather than changing the video arrangement many times and/or filling the screen with so many vocal videos. I try to showcase everything overall in the best way I can with all of the layers of vocals.

Can you spot the other DKC (and any other) musical references?

All of my covers are done by ear; there are no sheets
Headphones or good speakers are recommended for listening :)

Thank you for your support!
