The Great Eastern FX Small Speader Overdrive, also affectionally called the SSOD (by me, I'm the only one who calls it that), is a pedal that tries to capture the sound of the players that used amps like the Fender Champ in the studio. This is not an amp in a box though. It goes for the tone you hear on the record. Not the schematic that is on paper. Which is a great way to approach a pedal like this, I think! And don't be fooled by its name. It can sound huge!
