The 11+ Exam, taken by UK students in their final year of primary school in order to get into selective grammar schools, is commonly make up of four sections: Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, English, and Mathematics.

In this video, we take a look at some of the different question types that are commonly seen in the Verbal Reasoning section of the exam. Usually, this section is made up of 80 questions. However this may vary depending on which school is administering the 11+.

The Nagwa Classes session titled "Letter Patterns" looks at three question types: Letter Relocation, Letter Series, and Letter Relationship.

In "Letter Relocation" type questions, students are given two words. They have to find one letter that, when moved from the first word to the second word, makes two new words that make sense (without rearranging any of the other letters).

In "Letter Series" type questions, students are given a series of pairs of letters. They have to determine how the pairs relate to each other, then find a final pair that completes the series.

In "Letter Relationship" type questions, students are given two pairs of letters that somehow relate to each other. Students need to determine the relationship, then apply this to another pair of letters to find one final pair.

This video is a recording of Nagwa Classes' first interactive 11+ online tutoring session. With Nagwa Classes, students get to interact with the tutor during a session, ask questions via chat between sessions, and also practice questions written in the style of the real 11+ exam.
