Images from the 1991 Reno National Championship Air Races. "Tsunami", a highly modified airframe, designed by Bruce Boland and owned by John Sandberg was a top contender but finished in 3rd place in the Gold Final. After the races, on September 25, the aircraft was lost and Sandberg was fatally injured in a crash on a flight returning to Minnesota.
