Close your eyes and remember a time when you were a child, when no idea was impossible. When your imagination ran free and conjured up worlds and ideas without inhibition.

Remember when a rainstorm was an adventure. The streets ran like rivers. You could grab a piece of newspaper, fold a paper boat and set it free to float down a river to places unimagined.

With that image in mind we named this project “Floating Boats”.
So what will this be, this “Floating Boats” thing? Well, to start,
it will be a place where you can actively share YOUR ideas and YOUR stories.

Share a story, maybe it’s your story, an Event, or a cherished Memory

maybe it’s the story of people who have inspired you.

stories about small local farmers growing amazing food for farmers markets,

it might be that you have an idea for making the world a little better place. Or you heard about an idea, or Inspiration and want other people to know about it.

There are artists creating in many mediums, painting, photography, film making, theatre, dance…who are working to inspire us and make us feel.
People are innovating, creating inspiring ideas and turning them into action. There are scientists and inventors, teachers and community activists of all sorts out there making a difference.
Will it do anything else? Well yes, hopefully. As we share these ideas and get more people interested, we hope to help to create fund raising to support these ideas. Perhaps someday becoming a Foundation and having the ability to create grants for these ideas. But quite honestly, it’s up to you.
