"Welcome to our channel! In this video, we take you on a spiritual journey to the Dunanagiri Temple in Dwarahat, Uttarakhand. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga in the form of Goddess Vaishnavi Devi and is located on a smaal hillock of kumaon Hills.
The Dunagiri temple has been called another Vaishnavi shaktipeeth, where does "Acharya Dronacharya" have given me of the penance, hance the name of this temple is Dunagiri
Also say that "Hanuman Ji" was taking overroading the Dronanchal Mountains for Laxman Ji.Only after his hand,a small piece of Dronanchal Mountain was falling here, so the name of this place had lost the Dunagiri Mountain and here it was Dunagiri temple made here.
The temple is one of the two Vaishnavi Shakti Peeths in India other one being Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu-Kashmir.
It is believed that the bronze plate inside the temple dates back to 1181 AD.
Considered to be one of the powerful Shakti-Peeths, the temple offers a panoramic view of the Gogas Valley.Visitors need to climb a stairway of 365 steps to reach the temple. At the distance of 14 km from Dwarahat town,48 km from Ranikhet and 78 km from Almora,Dunagiri temple is the most famous temple situated at Dunagiri.
Dunagiri temple is very famous for its sweep, beacuse friends here are not climbed any kind of bed and here the coconut of offerings is not even tight inside the temple. Friends here everyday "Bhandara" is organized and here all the devotees eat Bhandara with great devotion.
