New Sewing Challenge #SEWWRAPPED

Kristen @dahlia_sewciety and I (@cloth_edit) are hosting another sewing challenge. #sewwrapped is the perfect challenge for the lead up to the Christmas/holiday/party season, and to wrap up the year. Before you wrap presents for others, let’s wrap ourselves in an easy to wear, handmade, wrap garment. We hope you will enjoy the 4 weeks of ‘wrap’ goodness we will be sharing on Instagram, and on our You Tube Channels.

What Do You Need to Make?
Sew a wrap garment (in knit or woven fabric): a top, dress, skirt, pants, shorts, jumpsuit, vest, robe, jacket or coat.

Use an Indie, commercial or vintage pattern, or you might like to draft something yourself.

The entries must have a wrap closure (a traditional wrap style), or feature a wrap of some kind in the design. Some less obvious choices are surplice bodices in dresses, tops and jumpsuits.

We will be limiting the contest to adult garments. The entries must be new posts rather than tagging older posts.

How to enter #SEWWRAPPED?

👉 TAG @cloth_edit and @dahlia_sewciety when you use the #sewwrapped hashtag

Use the hashtag #sewwrapped to let us know you are Joining in, when you share your Plans and Progress, and of course when you Reveal your wrapped garment. Please share the details with all your sewing friends.

Starts - Saturday Oct. 29th
Closes – Sunday Nov. 27th Midday (Noon) Australian Eastern Standard Time
Winners announced November 30th (on our YouTube channels and IG).

How are the Winners Decided?
The Dahlia Sewciety and Cloth Edit are allocating the prizes. Our ‘winners’ are always considered well deserved by the sewing community. Entrants from all over the world are welcome, and in the past the winners have been from the US, Barbados, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
