PRESS (Groover): "The Muddy Waters of Time” by Bobby Wallisch Jr. & Acid.Prof is a well-produced, bluesy indie alt art folk rock track with an introduction straight out of a Zappa playbook, with a groovy, soul-inspired rhythm guitar and keyboard attack that serves as the foundation for the story exposition at the outset. The authentic, distinguished male lead vocals serve the recording well, and the steady beat from the bass and rhythm guitar riff is really hypnotic. The organ work is also well done, and I especially want to compliment Bobby for the perseverance to put together this epic presentation and the steady singer-songwriter guitar playing performance on display here. Are you really a philologist, friend?
As to the lyrics: Wow, this is a long story, friend. I do congratulate you on creating a coherent, easy to understand, well-detailed and well-performed theme that makes sense from start to finish, and also thankfully includes an uplifting, peace loving sort of message and vibe. It's all very retro and refreshing in the present cultural milieu.

LYRICS:

Last night I dreamed of Muddy Waters
And of T-Bone Walker too
They asked what’s up, pal, how are you doin’
Why do you look so blue?

I was thinking of gone friends
Of all the things I failed to do
So many days spent on nonsense
I said according to truth

Today I’m grumpy and frumpy
My shaky hand’s weak and cold
Can’t smell, can’t hear and got clumsy
I tell y’all, I done got old

But on the banks of the river
I see long gone friends of mine
And I realize that I’m sailing
The muddy waters of time

Sure I got good days and bad days
But I have moments of joy
My body still loves sun rays
I have the kids and my boy

He makes me relive lost seasons
Makes me see the world as new
Oh son, if only I was given
Just one more summer with you

And on the banks of the river
I see long gone friends of mine
And I realize that I’m sailing – still sailing
The muddy waters of time - of my time

Once more sitting on Beale Street
Seeing my life, son, in your eye
Drinking some beers of sweet oblivion
Looking into the blue sky

And on the banks of the river
I see long gone friends of mine
And I realize that I’m sailing – forever sailing
The muddy waters of time - of all times

I’ve been around for quite a long time
I tell y’all I done got old – I done got old
But now my life makes a good rhyme
And my heart is still bold

And on the banks of the river
I see long gone friends of mine
And I realize that I’m sailing
The muddy waters of time

Last night I dreamed of Muddy Waters
And of T-Bone Walker too
They asked what’s up, pal, how are you doin’
Why do you look so cool?

And on the banks of the river
I see long gone friends of mine
And I realize that I’m sailing – forever sailing
The muddy waters of time - of all times

I’ve been around for quite a long time
I tell y’all I done got old – I done got old
But now my life makes a good rhyme
And my heart is still bold
