Hi everyone. This is, Stephanie Manley ,with, copykat.com. In the past
I've shown you how to make regular bread crumbs. Today, we're going to make
Italian seasoned bread crumbs. These are great to use. You can put them on
some homemade macaroni and cheese. You can bread things in them, fry them,
and, it's so easy to make this. We are simply going to use regular bread.
Now, if you have any other type of bread, like, Italian bread just slice it
up, and, you can use that, as well. I am going to just simply put this on a
cookie sheet. Now, if it's dry in your house you may just want this bread
simply dry. Do it like that.
Otherwise, you can cheat a little bit, and, go ahead, and, pop it in your
oven at 200 degrees for about five minutes on one side. Flip the bread
over, and, let it heat about another five or so minutes on the other side.
So, why don't we go ahead, and, put this bread in the oven, and, we'll get
started making those bread crumbs. So, now my bread has dried in the oven.
Again, if it's dry in your house just let it air dry, or, let it dry over
night. It's going to work great. I kind of needed these in a hurry, so, I
went ahead and popped them in the oven, and, then when you stick them in a
bowl just simply crumble them into small pieces like this. When you get
them all done, and, all nice, and, crumbled we're going to go, and, add our
seasonings.
So, now I have all of the bread crumbs, ground fine. I just took my bread,
and smooched it together. I'm going to go ahead and season this. It's about
two cups prepared, and, I'm going to go ahead, and, add about a half a
teaspoon of salt. I'm going to add a good teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
I'm going to add that in. I'm just going to kind of rub it between my
fingers to help release some of the aromatic oils. I'm going to take about
a half a teaspoon of onion powder, and, put that right in. I'm just going
to give this a quick little stir, and, here you go. You now have Italian
seasoned bread crumbs ready to use. That's it. These will store very well
since they're nice and dry. You can store these in a nice air tight
container in your pantry, and, there you go. It's how to make Italian
seasoned bread crumbs. I hope you've enjoyed that last video. Please be
