When you're on a low budget and you're battling direct daylight sun outdoors, it can be hard to craft beautiful cinematography, so we've constructed several ways in which you can master filming in broad daylight outdoors, and without it smashing your budget to pieces. You can use things like a 5-in-1 reflector to bounce the sun, giving you a way to manipulate the natural outdoor light. Then you can diffuse it with a sheet of cloth or the diffusion in the reflector. You can also use flags to cut the light and especially if you're on a low budget, this can be vital to making sure your stay cool under pressure. This is Minute Tip Monday.

5-IN-1 REFLECTOR - Bounce, Block, Reflect and Diffuse using the tools inside.

BATTERY POWERED LED LIGHTS - LEDs are powerful and can be battery operated, so they can be used outdoors without mains to create extra light.

ND FILTERS - Cut out a lot of the light, so you don't have to change shutter speed and can have a wide aputure for shallow depth of field.
