Storlytics is a powerful software for modeling battery energy storage systems. It allows users to design, size, and optimize grid-tied battery systems by offering a user-friendly interface to deduce power and energy capacity requirements for different energy storage grid applications "use-cases". It also allows users to accurately model power flow, battery losses, round trip efficiency, and predict degradation curves of defined energy storage systems leveraging a wide variety of inverter and battery models. Storlytics can import user-defined and benchmark ESS profiles to deduce the actual performance of planned grid-tied and renewable energy projects.

In this video, we are going to be looking into the battery profile creator (BPC) module of Storlytics v1.0 and how BPC can be used to design a PV Clipped Energy Storage. Please note that in the previous version of Storlytics (earlier than v1.0) battery profile creator (BPC) module was referred to as the need-based module (NBM).

Battery profile creator in Storlytics allows users to generate battery energy
storage charge and discharge profile for a specific energy storage application
considering various parameters and constraints specified by the user. For example,
in case of PV Clipped energy storage application, BPC can be used to determine
the power and energy requirement for a user specified PV profile. It also
provides relevant analytics regarding the battery dispatch profile in a report
and generates output profiles for further analysis using battery system modeler (BSM).
