A short inspired rescore of “The Hand of Odin (Prelude)” from God of War Ragnarök.

This version moves away from the sense of imminent threat and focuses instead on presence and memory. The theme is still central, but less exposed, carried mainly by the strings and placed further back in the texture, almost as a quiet commentary rather than a driving force.

Rather than depicting action or confrontation, this rescore imagines a calmer moment, where Odin’s authority is still felt but not imposed. The weight of the character remains, yet softened, distant, and more restrained. What emerges is not fear, but awareness: a reminder of power rather than its immediate manifestation.

I often dedicate time to transcribing and reworking music from other composers as a way to study, explore orchestral colors, and develop my own musical language. This inspired rescore grows out of the faithful version, reshaping its material to serve a different narrative function.
