the all- new 2017 Lincoln Continental.
“Entrance,” a new Matthew McConaughey Lincoln Continental TV spot for the “That’s Continental” campaign featuring Matthew McConaughey, was shot on a shimmering glacial plain about 160 miles from Reykjavík, Iceland, with black sand and shallow water offset by a stunning, stark horizon.
This new Lincoln Continental 2018 ad campaign is incredibly important to Lincoln. “It’s fresh, contemporary and very visual,” says John Emmert, group marketing manager, The Lincoln Motor Company.
“While many are familiar with the Continental nameplate, we wanted them to see our all-new Lincoln Continental 2018 flagship in a whole new way,” he continues. “A car as iconic as Continental could only be shot in a unique locale – one not familiar to viewers.”
The Lincoln Continental 2018 ads were directed by acclaimed cinematographer Wally Pfister, known for “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” Pfister’s work on “Inception” landed him an Academy Award in 2011.
The Icelandic terrain provides an unforgettable framework for such an impressive car, says Jon Pearce, global chief creative officer for Hudson Rouge.
The conditions were extreme, he recalls, with the crew conducting shoots in raw, unpredictable temperatures and driving rain. But
then rainbows would light up the sky. “The clouds would break, the winds would die down, and it would become absolutely beautiful,” says Pearce.
Lincoln Continental 2018 commercial “Entrance” is one of several unconventional spots featuring Matthew McConaughey, each of which highlights a distinct quality of the Lincoln Continental 2018. This piece showcases a dramatic, sweeping view of the front of the Lincoln Continental 2018 flagship vehicle.
Some segments of “That’s Continental” were shot in Los Angeles.
“Crafted,” another piece in the Lincoln Continental 2018 campaign, offers a wry take on nontraditional storytelling. And for the first time in a Lincoln Continental 2018 ad, Matthew McConaughey is featured in the back seat to showcase some of the Lincoln Continental rear seat amenities available for Continental, including a Lincoln Continental chauffeur switch. The feature allows Matthew McConaughey in the rear to move the front passenger seat forward for extra legroom.
After a fifteen-year absence, the new Lincoln Continental 2018 officially went on sale in the fall of 2016 as a Lincoln Continental 2017 model.Alongside the Ford Mustang, the Lincoln Continental 2018 is produced in Flat Rock, Michigan. Lincoln Continental 2018 is a rival to the BMW 7 Series (G12), Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), Lexus LS and the Cadillac CT6. The wheelbase almost matches exactly to the sixth generation Continental introduced in 1980, and the 1998–2011 Lincoln Continental Town Car.
The tenth generation Lincoln Continental 2018 is based on a front-wheel drive platform, with optional Lincoln Continental awd all-wheel drive. In the United States the base engine is a 3.7 L V6 making 305 bhp (227 kW; 309 PS) and 280 lb·ft (380 N·m). A 2.7 L direct-injection twin-turbo V6 with 335 bhp (250 kW; 340 PS) and 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) is available as an Lincoln Continental 2018 engine option. A new 3.0 L direct-injection twin-turbocharged V6 will be exclusive to Lincoln. Shared with the updated, shorter, 2017 Lincoln MKZ, the 3.0 L engine is rated at 400 bhp (298 kW; 406 PS) and 400 lb·ft (542 N·m) of torque on 93 octane ((R+M)/2) fuel. In Canada the car is only available with either the 2.7 or 3.0 L twin-turbo engines, and only with all-wheel-drive. The new Lincoln Continental 2018 transmission is no longer activated with a center console installed transmission selector; the computer controlled transmission uses buttons installed to the left of the MyLincoln Touch infotainment touch screen labeled "P, R, N, D, S", a revival of an approach used in the 1950s by the Chrysler push button PowerFlite and the Packard Touchbutton Ultramatic. The "S" transmission selection represents "Sport" mode, where the Continuously Controlled Damping suspension, electric power steering and transmission shift points take on a different posture.
