In Part 111 of the Laravel 9 Tutorial to create a Multi-Vendor E-commerce Website in Laravel 9, we will continue working on the user register/login process.

In this video, we will start working on the email confirmation process at the time of user registration. We will send an activation link to user email at the time of his registration that the user needs to confirm first to make his account active.

1) Update userRegister function :-
First of all, we will update the userRegister function at Front\UsersController. We will keep the 0 status by default whenever a user will register and will make the status 1 when the user will confirm his email.

Also, we will disable the register SMS and email code and write code for the verification email that we need to send to the user at the time of registration.

Also, we will remove Auth::attempt from the userRegister function and will use this on confirmation of the email.

We will generate an activation code by encoding the email and send to the user's email in the link to confirm so that his account will get activated when he clicks on the link.

After sending a confirmation email, redirect the user back to the login/register page with a Success message.

2) Create confirmation.blade.php file
Now create a confirmation.blade.php file to write the HTML of the confirmation email that we need to send to the user to confirm his email.

Now register with a new account and check your mailtrap inbox if the confirmation email comes in an email account or not.

3) Update userLogin function :-
Now update the userLogin function to check whether the user account is active or not. If not active means if it is 0 then we don't let the user log in and display the error message like below.

"Your account is not activated! Please confirm your email to activate your account."

And this error we need to display if the user tries to log in without confirming his email.

In the next video, we are going to confirm the email and activate the user account.
