Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed
by Sledgehammer Games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows.
It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty franchise, and the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Announced on August 17th, 2023, the game will be released on November 10th, 2023.

The Campaign mode of Modern Warfare III was designed and developed by Sledgehammer Games, in partnership
with Infinity Ward that continues the story immediately following the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Modern Warfare III will feature similar gameplay to Modern Warfare II and other games in the Call of Duty series.
Mechanics returning in Modern Warfare III include the return of slide cancelling.According to Activision,
in addition to linear missions, the game's campaign will feature "Open Combat Missions", allowing players to
freely choose how they want to approach their objectives.
