《楞嚴咒》咒中之王的意義| 趨吉避凶神咒功德利益【上篇】|The Powerful Meaning of the Shurangama Mantra|Ven. Master Miao Yin 妙音法師

《楞嚴咒》是由佛頂化現，其咒語乃出自《大佛頂如來密因修證了義菩薩萬行首楞嚴經》之第七卷經文內，此經名又簡稱 《大佛頂經楞嚴經》，長咒通常亦稱《首楞嚴咒》、《大佛頂首楞嚴神咒》。大佛頂首楞嚴神咒為佛教中最長的咒，約有二千六百多字，亦被稱為咒中之王。此長咒亦為漢傳佛教僧侶早課必誦的功課。楞嚴咒是出自於 《大佛頂首楞嚴經》，咒語極為妙不可思議。每一句有每一句的妙用，每一字有每一字的奧妙。楞嚴咒的力量，能除一切黑暗，降伏一切外道天魔，能成就一切功德，此咒殊勝不可思議之加持力，令修行者最終達成成無上正等正覺。若能誦持此咒，則一切水火、咒詛、魘蠱毒藥等悉皆不能加害，並可獲得種種功德果報。而佛陀宣說此咒之目的，主要是保護未來世的初學修行者，得入三摩地，身心泰然安隱，不受一切諸魔鬼神、及舊業陳債來相惱害。

The power of the Shurangama Mantra can eliminate all darkness, subdue all heretics and evil spirits, fulfill all merits and virtues, and attain supreme enlightenment.Every line of the Shurangama Mantra contains infinite meanings as well as infinite functions. 佛陀開示楞嚴經中此咒之功德利益：
『十方如來，因此咒心，得成無上正遍知覺。
十方如來，執此咒心，降伏諸魔，制諸外道。
十方如來，乘此咒心，坐寶蓮華，應微塵國。十方如來，含此咒心，于微塵國，轉大法輪。
十方如來，持此咒心，能於十方，摩頂授記。自果未成，亦于十方，蒙佛授記。
十方如來，依此咒心，能於十方，拔濟群苦。所謂地獄、餓鬼、畜生、盲聾、瘖、啞，怨憎會苦、愛別離苦、求不得苦、五陰熾盛、大小諸橫，同時解脫。賊難、兵難、王難、獄難、風、火水難、饑渴、貧窮，應念銷散。』

The Shurangama or Śūraṅgama Mantra is a dhāraṇī or long mantra of Buddhist practice in Mahayana tradition.
"Shurangama" translates as "Ultimately firm and strong". The content of the “Shurangama Mantra” subdues heavenly demons and controls externalists.

All the inconceivable wonders and esoteric phenomena in the universe are contained in the Shurangama Mantra.
The power of “Shurangama Mantra” can make demons behave. The power of the mantra can dispel every sort of darkness and enable people to amass all kinds of merit and virtue.
