Virtual Walk - Walking Tour 4k - Ferry from Nanaimo BC to Descanso Bay on Gabriola Island BC.
This is not an actual walk but I have included it as a start to series of virtual walks on Gabriola because a ferry is required to get there. Gabriola Island is a short 20 minute ferry ride from Nanaimo and is a fun trip on one of the 2 new diesel electric ferries. Sit an enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding islands and Georgia Strait (Salish Sea) or grab a coffee and snack and chat with some of travelers about what the island has to offer.
