🌰 Have you ever wonder what to do with conkers?

😮 I'm revealing the secret to making natural, sustainable laundry soap/washing detergent from conkers! This is environmentally friendly conker-based laundry wash!

🏆 Not only is this soap environmentally friendly, but it's also a fantastic way to reduce your dependence on chemical-based laundry detergents.

🌰 Conkers soap is a great sustainable alternative because it's environmentally friendly, free from harsh chemicals, and easy to make.

🔨 Collect your conkers, bring them home and give them a little rinse. Chop them into quarters then either blend into small chunks or bash to bits with a hammer. The goal is to get seeds into as small bits as possible.

🫙 Then dry them either in the oven on lowest setting or put them into dehydrator. Let it cool down and pop in a container with a lid. Dried like this with a sealed lid, these conkers should last for around 12 months.

🧼 Take 1 tablespoon of your dried conkers and add to a jug. Fill a mug with warm water, mix and leave for half an hour. Strain the soapy liquid through a muslin sieve, discarding the leftovers, Add the laundry soap to the liquid part of your washing machine drawer and let the power of the conkers do their magic.

🧦 You can preserve and use horse chestnuts all year with method above. But if you don't want to do that and just want to enjoy the seeds you have in autumn, there's a much simpler technique. Simply chop a couple of conkers into quarters, pop in a sock, tie at the end and throw them in your machine with your laundry.
