Darius Ballinger is a 2019 Echoing Green Fellow who has turned his trauma into his purpose. He is the founding executive director for Chasing23 Youth, a nonprofit organization improving the lives of Chicago's most esteemed youth through social enterprises and mentorship.

Darius was joined in conversation by Rachel D. Wilson, Echoing Green's Global Fellowship Portfolio Manager.

This UpStart was presented by Echoing Green as part of the Inclusive Leadership Initiative, which was launched with the support of Citi Foundation.

With the support of the Citi Foundation, Echoing Green launched the Inclusive Leadership Initiative to expand the organization's support of leaders that represent communities of color, with a particular emphasis on those who are creating employment opportunities for young people of color across the U.S.
