How to play Naughty Boy:
You are the naughty boy, whose designs are to go into the woods and destroy a monsters' fortress. To do so you must make your way to the north as the screen scrolls upwards and pelt all the fortress's flags with rocks.

Rocks are your defense against the monsters that flock towards you to protect their home.

One of the coolest features of the game is that you can control the length of your rocks' flight! Hold down the THROW button and then let go when you want it to drop. You can throw over half the length of the screen before the game forces the rock to drop. Or you can just tap the button to chuck it right in front of you.

Contact with any monster or the fiery breath of a dragon that pops out of walls or empty space on occasion is fatal. Note that when you kill a monster a part of its body remains (non-lethal); you can destroy it too. The full monster will respawn somewhere on the screen eventually; it will be worth more points and if you can manage to keep killing the same respawing monster over and over, it can be worth up to 9,000 points!

Good luck on doing this, though; the monsters will come after you en mass so it's best to just go destroy the flags. You can take out 2 flags with one rock if you are perfectly positioned!

NOTE: Your best friend in this game is the QUESTION MARK (?). If you hit it with a rock you have limited invincibility! This is the time to quickly head up the screen and waste some flags. If you need to, return where the question mark was and it'll appear again soon and destroy it again. Repeat the process after taking out a few flags if need be; when a whole army of monsters trap you at the top of the screen-- even if you have warp gates at the edges of the screen where the monsters can't go through-- you are in serious trouble, so don't take out all the flags at once if it's not necessary. Destroying the question mark also makes prizes appear close by, which are worth some nice points-- a pipe, watermelon, thermos, cup, etc.

After every 2 levels beaten a rather lame bonus round takes place; just pelt the monster below from a blimp with various items as it runs about; you may be able to score multiple hits when it stops and reacts to getting hit. The points for hitting it are tallied up when your time (fuel supply) runs out.

4 different scenarios repeat. Very odd, but fun (except for the bonus round music/sound effects.. yuck!).
