Former LRA Commander Dominic Ongwen has made his initial appearance before the international Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands where he is facing charges of War crimes and Crimes against Humanity.

Ongwen did not speak much in the court - he confirmed his identity and stated his employment status before leaving the legal matters to his counsel Hellen Cisse at the pre-trial hearing
