The video discusses the 3 R’s migration strategy for DevOps and architects to switch from Kubernetes Ingress to Gateway API CRDs.

Kubernetes has announced that Ingress will no longer get further updates. Instead, Gateway API CRDs take its place. Since there is no kind Ingress in Gateway API, DevOps and architects will need to switch from Ingress to Gateway API eventually.

IMESH recommends the 3 R’s strategy for a seamless migration from Ingress to K8s Gateway API. The 3 R’s are research, rollout, and repeat.

Start by conducting research about the Gateway API feasibility and application scope; make a POC and start incremental adoption in the dev cluster; repeat the process and gradually adopt to staging and prod environments.
