➩ Alvin (alvinvanasselt in YouTube) worked on rDH with the Bowser Bike too. As for Mario Circuit, he got the flap World Record while it was previously made with Torpedo/Spear. But, this time, the Bowser Bike can catch up with the Torpedo for the 3lap as well. Enjoy!

•Personal comment (from Alvin)• "Let's start with answering the most usual comment that I'll get: "Can you get WR?" or "Go for WR!". You should understand Desert Hills is not Moo Moo Meadows. I'm pretty sure the Bowser Bike isn't faster. Also, as you can see, the run is really awesome. And even for someone like me, I can't beat it. Compare it with Biohazard's DK Mountain run with a kart: The WR is gettable, but very, very, very hard and useless as well: Torpedo / Spear is faster by far.
As you can see, MKWii is a strange game. But how is it possible that, after more than a year, bike changes are still possible? It was because we compared this game to MKDS. In Mario Kart DS, you have about the same as in MKW: Four karts are really important: BLS, Polt, Egg 1 and Dry Bomber. Compare it with Torpedo, Bowser Bike, Mach Bike and Magikruiser. In that game, the BLS aka Torpedo is teh fastest on every track it's possible, even with sharp corners, because the BLS wins more time at the straights. So when MKW got releases, loads of people were trying to find ways to make the Torpedo work on tracks. I think Cole found that way that is the normal shroomspot now. When we knew that strat, we all thought Bowser Bike was useless, because now the Torpedo is possible. And nobody tried that bike again.
But now that has changed. A Japanese player got 1'36"823 , and since I was playing Torpedo/Mach/Magikruiser tracks with the Bowser Bike, mindscarp thought it was an interesting challenge. Within just and hour, I got 1'36"8 as well ("838 to be precise). I was really happy about it, although I knew there was some room for improvement. After improving the shroomspot a little bit, I got 1'36"7, and then I was searching for the European Record. I crashed a lot of runs, until I finished the best one. The second one was my first sub-32. Although the first lap had a bad SC, the second and third lap make this run a beast.
And last but not least: believe it or not, but my Torpedo time is 1' 37" 230. Indeed."
→ The Japanese player he's talking about is トレント・イーストン (Trent Easton, the previous rBC3 WR holder), he made 1' 36" 823 in February ( http://zoome.jp/bearvrex/diary/53 ) and appears in the Japanese regionals.
As for the flap WR, Alvin took the European Record from KO☆Freddy♪ XD he had 1' 36" 582 on February 9th, 2009 ( • [MKWii] DS Desert Hills European Record & ... ).

•Time (fastest lap)• 29" 868 [flap]
•Personal comment (from Alvin)• "The same thing as the 3lap counts: I think it's slower than the Torpedo. Although I haven't seen Freddy's run, and I think that was a crazy run as well, so maybe it is.
The flap cuts the hardest corners with shroom, where you usually have to take a really wide corner (that's the only reason I can find for BB possibly being faster: with the torpedo, you always go wide in the turns, so you have to start wide which costs a lot of time again).
Let's just see what bike will be used when someone tries to beat this time."
